Rac&pinion conversion
Just completed A Unisteer rac&pinion conversion on our 67 C10.noticing a reduced turning radius & increased turning effort at low speed.Has anyone tried others like Flaming River?

Re: Rac&pinion conversion
Front end is stock height with Mcgaughys disc brake spindles .Their rac is designed with the ball center for stock height(trying to avoid the bump steer that can come with lowering).Unisteer's 36 spline did not match the 36 spline on my Flaming River column & figuring out the pulley arrangement took some time.Other than that,it was a bolt on.Haven't figured how to load pix from my iPhone yet, sorry about that.Has anyone else tried a Unisteer rac & pinion conversion? Thanks
