Re: 73-80 rear dually fender trim

Looks like you are listing some really great stuff at some good prices! These are almost impossible to pull and not break a couple studs. Good luck on your sale! There are a lot of guys looking for these so they should sell fast!

How would they attach if the studs are broken?

Re: 73-80 rear dually fender trim

The studs are tapered they look like 1/8 inch that goes thru fender and maybe 1/4 that threads into trim I guess you could drill them out and re tap them

These also mount pretty solid with the screws installed. They really are basically impossible to remove without breaking a couple. I CAREFULLY removed 2 sets of these. Used plenty of penetrating oil(Kroil) and took my time and still broke a few studs.

Your right they catch a lot of dirt and road salt and whatever else but for almost 40 years old they still look good and not all oxidized

Re: 73-80 rear dually fender trim

Congrats on the sale. If it wasn't so close to the holidays and now recouping I would've jumped on those. If you come across another set keep me in mind.
That goes for the other Jeff too.

Re: 73-80 rear dually fender trim

Dang it, I was too slow. I am looking for the bedside trim for a 73-80 Dually and possibly the fender trim. Good score Greenmountain.
