Post dana 44 ?

i can get a dana 44 from a 75-79 1/2 ton for around 70 dollars. and i can get the inner shafts from a 3/4 ton for around 30

so will the 3/4 ton shafts fit the 1/2 ton axle?
will this fit under a 71 truck
