before you start throwing parts at it check for

A) FUEL

B) SPARK

you will see gas shooting out of the accelerator pump nozzle when you open the throttle by hand. This will be enough gas to get the engine to start at least for a second. If there is gas, check for spark. Get a spark plug and plug it into one of the plug wires while you crank it and hold the electrode to a good ground source (exhaust manifold bolt, or something) and watch for a nice blue spark. If its not sparking its probably distributor related. Check for 12volts @ the distributor then look for obvious malfunctions inside the cap then replace the module then pickup.

should be really easy to track this problem down.
