Sorry I should've specified, the truck will be stock height 2wd, rims are 16" stealies from a 78 and are 6" wide and I believe they are zero offset (not 100% on that). cHECK YOUR CLEARANCES(INNER AND OUTER) with the 10.4's and go from there. I'm guessing an 8" is about as wide as you can go w/o them rubbing as rear bobs up and down on the highway.*

*My 66 s/b-st/side runs 7" wide wheels w/zero offset. 275/70/15 is all I can clear on the rear, but mine has been lowered f & r(about 3 and 2", respectively), which will make a tad of difference--but not much, as rears do bob up/down as you hit patches and bumps in the road whether dropped or not.
