1950 Cab to Running board weather strip ????
I am a little confused. I pulled out the new rubber Cab to Running board weather strip and it came with two rubber strips twice as long as the bottom of the cab.
The metal mounting strips that I removed from the cab were only as long as the cab so I am confused to where all the extra rubber goes. This is the rubber that mounts to the bottom of the cab to fill the gap between the cab and running board. Any recommendations?

I just checked a friends truck and his is the same, trimmed it. They just sent so much of it I thought I was missing something.
