I found it was cheaper for me to just get a new driveshaft built, rather than screwing around with changing the length on my old one. I did mine mail order from a guy in Utah. Tatton's Driveshafts. I sent him the measurements, a week later it arrived at my door step. If I remember correctly it was around $220 shipped with new ujoints (already installed)
