LM7 in 67 C20
Hi:
Can this engine be dropped in to a 67 C20 without major modification such as swapping the intake and accessory drive components? How about the oil pan? I know the wiring and fuel pump has be modified. And while we are at it, is there a manual transmission which can go with it or I would be better off with an auto behind it as far as the modification to the cab's floor? It would be just a daily driver. I have a LM7 with all the accessories and wiring that I wanted to drop in my 79 Camaro but it seems I have to sped twice as much I paid for the engine to swap the intake, accessory bracket and etc. It might make a better financial sense to just get a car LS engine for Camaro. Thanks

The lm7 drops in with the factory intake, oil pan and accessory drive. There is an LS swap section here in the forums. It has tons of information that helped guide me through my swap.

On the transmission its a matter of what your looking for...I have a nv4500 behind mine...works great...as far as expense there's not much difference between going auto or man..matter of choice..
and yes if your putting a ls in a car its much less expensive to use a car ls engine than trying to swap everything over.. |

The auto can be column shift. Idk of a way for the NV4500 to be. I wouldn't think so. I've never seen anything but a floor shifted 5 speed.
