Throttle cable
Hey all. Just got my coolant system all straight and now moving on to the throttle cable. I am running a drive by cable (not DBW) setup with my 4.8. What is the best, easiest, cheapest method to get my throttle body connected to the truck? (it's a junk yard build 64 C10 BTW). Thanks!

Re: Throttle cable
I went to the junkyard and got a cable of a 01 (I think) chevy truck...had to use a file to open up hole in dash..fit perfect.

Re: Throttle cable
Your pedal may be for a rod...mine was in a 81 so my pedal was already a cable pedal..you may need to grab the cable pedal as well

Re: Throttle cable
Thanks all. I ordered a pedal assembly for an 87 C10 from eBay and a 1999 Silverado throttle cable from Rock Auto. I'm getting there! Thanks for everyone's help.

Re: Throttle cable
My pedals are a little more spread out...but that's the factory spacing..here's another pic of where the cable comes thru the firewall..whatever pedal you get you just need to make sure the firewall cable hole is*inline*with the cable eyelet on the pedal..I can't get under the dash enough to get a pic..

Re: Throttle cable
I'm using the factory LS cable and the Lokar Throttle Pedal on my 67.
