89 Suburban 3/4 Heavy Towing Pkg.

I have a dried out and brittle and broken vacuum line. It is about 1/64 outside diameter line and goes through the firewall, to the A/C / heater assembly I think. It is a tiny line.

Any ideas on how to splice a new piece in? I have never seen a connector that small. It looks like the small line was glued into the larger rubber connector behind the air cleaner, and that is probably the way it connects to the ventilation system through the firewall under the reel out light on the left.

Agree with the above or just replace the line. While towing a very heavy load up a steep pass, the exhaust manifold on my 6BT Cummins got hot enough to melt these little lines off. I patched it so the A/C would work for the rest of the trip but later replaced the line that runs under the dash.
