This linkage is off a 71 Chevy 1/2 ton auto column shift. 40.00 shipped in the US

I pulled it off a 2 wheel drive truck. The ones on the three 4 x 4'sI have look like the picture below.

I am going to assume that it would because none of the linkage has anything to do with the motor. this came out of a truck that had a turbo 350 and a small block V8.

The reason I ask is that I was told that the transmission on a straight 6 drivetrain sits a littler further back than a V8.

Do you have the bolt that attaches on the top of the rod?

I will look when I get home from work today, but I'm thinking that I don't have it or it would still be on the rod.

Jothan, the pictured linkage shift rod looks to have been bent/modified to maybe fit a custom application or motor/trans position setup. The different auto linkage setups were C/K series and motor specific, have a look at the below thread link for some labeled side by side comparison pics. Mel

Although I have limited C10 experience, I can tell you that in passenger cars, the trans location is the same from inline 6 to small block.
