kick down cable for 700R4
Is anyone running a holley double pumper with a 700R4? i have to figure out a way to mount my kick down cable and not have the trans eat itself apart. I was talking to my Trans teacher and he said i have to find out the throw of a stock arm and make something that will pull the cable the same length. I am hopeing someone can help me
Thanks Rat

71Rat,
If you want to try to figure out your own bracket geometry, there are some good sketches and instructions at this link. http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sum...o/700R4p1.html Good Luck!

The Bowtie Overdrives kit is well worth the money. Not only does it provide the correct "throw" for the cable, but it also allows you to adjust the "feel" of the shifting from aggressive to mild. It's money well spent IMO.

I used GM parts. TV cable p/n 2515598 and cable bracket p/n 22504927. Less than 20.00 each. bracket mounts to back two carb bolts and has hole for throttle cable also.
