Re: 5.3 swap into 72 C-10 Part list.

I'm confused about the oil pan from the CTS-V.

2004-2005 CTS-V ran a 5.7l (LS6)
2006-2007 CTS-V ran 6.0l (LS2)
2008-2014 CTS-V ran 6.2l (LSA)

Will all or any of these oil pans fit a 5.3l (LM7)?

I just don't want to order if it will not 100% fit.

You can use the v8 perches but you'll need the one bolt mounts. 73-up perches allow you to use the clamshell mounts which are preferred. I think they'll let the engine sit just a tad bit lower too

This will help me out, I needed the descriptions, Thanks.

For what it is worth, the Canadian GM dealership says the part numbers change from US dealers to Canadian Dealers.

You have a 6.0l in your Burb, is there a difference in the 5.3l block?

Re: 5.3 swap into 72 C-10 Part list.

I used the numbers I got off a US vendors site and there was no need to cross up. Also everything I found said the stock truck windage tray works with the CTSV pan.

I think you need to find a new parts guy.

Re: 5.3 swap into 72 C-10 Part list.

I called another shop, they were happy to use these part numbers. Sometimes i wonder how these parts "people" can keep their jobs. Ill check stealership pricing against GMPartsDepot.ca

I like getting my own part numbers online, then confirming them at the parts counter.
