48 defrost vents
Ok have one of those odd questions. Getting ready to complete my vintage air and want to re-install my stock defrost vents. Problem is I cannot remember how they attach. Vents are a little smaller than the opening. One side of vent has the clip and other side screw. But if I put clip on there is nothing to attach screw too on other side. Any thoughts on what I am missing?

Re: 48 defrost vents
I think the pieces are still in the 49 cab I have but can't remember how those fasten in.
Hey it's dark and cold out there. Left side on mine looks to be held in by two screws, right side has a screw on the left side and clip on the right side. This the left side, I couldn't get around to the right side. Donor cab.

Re: 48 defrost vents
Thanks. That is what I cannot figure out. I will post pic later to show. I figured it just screws in but somehow not wide enough.

Re: 48 defrost vents
Another when I align the screw hole. Nothing to attach the other side to.

Re: 48 defrost vents
You have the wrong defrost ducts . Get a pair for a pickup . They will fill that hole all the way and you will use the screwhole on the right.

Re: 48 defrost vents
That is odd as these were the ones in the truck when I picked it up. I just had them cleaned up.
