wiper motor wrong
"57 Chev truck has the wrong wiper motor in it, this one moves the wipers both in the same direction. Where can I get an original style motor that that moves them both in the opposite direction as they should be ????? ......new or used......thanks

Re: wiper motor wrong
Post a photo sounds like it may have the wrong arms from the motor to the transmissions. Here is what the motor and shaft bracket looks like, turns in a circle, arms move in and out. It might also be that you have the transmission shaft lever 180 degrees out?

Re: wiper motor wrong
If you used the whole kit with all the pieces you may have to flip the arm on one of the wipers to have them to do right. Or even on a stock unit you may have flipped one.

Re: wiper motor wrong
this truck (not mine) has a single arm and both blades are hooked to it. .....does the double arm in the pic, rotate all the way around, or just back and forth ??? thanks

Re: wiper motor wrong
Thinking about it most of the late models work that way with both wipers working parallel to each other. You might see if there is room to flip the lever on the passenger side wiper to reverse it's movement. That might be an easy fix if it works.

Re: wiper motor wrong
not enough room , but I have done something similar before, by adding an extra pivot point in the arm, to reverse it. BUT, today the owner now says to "forget about it ", leave it, with only one working. So, thanks guys

Re: wiper motor wrong
Now I will need to go look, I thought it rotated. It came out of a 55-59 GMC.
