82 c1500 to 89 k5 ujoint

I installed a k5 rear end in my 82 c1500. Both rear ends are 10 bolts. The k5 rear end has a posi with 3.42 the original rear was an open with 2.73.

Would the original c1500 driveshaft be compatible with the k5 yoke. I went to install and the c1500 ujoint feels a bit lose and a bit short on the rear end side.
