55 2 hood question

I am alingning my hood on my 55 gen 2 and when i close it the pasanger side hinge stays up at the fire wall when i close the hood. then have to push that side down. I know that that is a problem with those hinges but wnat has to be done to fix that??? Thanks Denis

duramax55 - Assuming your springs are still strong, you need to shim the upper hinge mount (only) at the firewall. This will rotate the axis of spring tension. You will need to shim both sides. I recommend starting with 1/8" shim and go from there. I had the same issue and worked like a charm.
