A pillar patch

Would you guys replace this or just braze up the holes?

The tub itself is in great shape. I'm wondering why the previous owner did not repair this area before paint.

Agreed. The holes are only the weakest points in the sheet metal, but everything around them is going to be rotten.

if you plan to keep the truck for longer than 3-5 years - I would fix it - as the rust will continue to creep into the surrounding metal and weaken the A pillar.

if you plan to enjoy/drive it and then sell it after a season or two - I wouldn't touch it. As noted - there is likely a host of other rust behind that once you start digging.

IF you plan to just leave it and sell it is there some kind of chemical rust killer to spray in there to at least neutralize the rust? Better than nothing.

Prime example of someone painting something to sell....pass it on to someone else.... shame on the painter....LOL!!!!! If I am going to spend time on a blazer I am going to do it right...what other way is there....but I know...please tell me...glad everyone is not perfect like me....blllaaahhhh!!!!!! buy a blazer from me....its NOT JUNK !!!!!

thanks for the responses. I will get this area repaired. it is a little strange the rockers look like they have been replaced, the torsion boxes underneath look original and are solid as well as the rest of the tub.

I wonder about the panel behind the rocker and the support that connects to it inside the torsion box.

Hows the floor pan?
