looking for a wiper motor.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Any links any one may have already found that i have not. I know i can buy the electronic one for 200 on eBay but was wondering if anyone had seen or heard of anything cheaper that will work in my 1960 truck. It is a motor that lays flat on the fire wall. under the dash. mine is vacuum and does not work i can hear clicking inside the motor but thats it pretty sure its trash. Thanks

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
Try Newport Eng. this is who I'm ordering a wiper motor from next month.
https://newportwipers.com/ This is the one that fits our flat firewall wiper motor. $219.95. The Clean Wiper Drive is a true bolt-in replacement for your O.E.M. electric windsheild wiper motor. Each kit comes complete with all the necessary hardware to install the wiper drive in the factory mounting holes. (NOTE: THIS IS A BRAND NEW MOTOR, NOT A REBUILT MOTOR) **THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT MOTORS FOR THIS SERIES OF TRUCK, ONE MOTOR LAYS FLAT ON THE FIREWALL(NE6066CTF) https://newportwipers.com/product/19...l/#wiper-motor

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
My 61 w/motor is different than a 64-66. It's mounting is a little different. 63? Any body know if you can put a 64-66 in a earlier tk?

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
I should first try to open the motor. A while ago I had the same issue with a wiper motor of a '61 corvette. You heard just a click and nothing happens. Because of the very old crease inside it some parts where sticking together. Just cleaned everything, new grease, and the motor was working again.

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
DPowers--No. It like the 64-66. My 61 does not use the rubber washers that slip into the motor shell and has an o-ring type seal, not like the one on your 63.

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
I think I will try opening it and cleaning it out. I'll keep you guys updated. Mine does not look like the picture posted above. Mine is longer and lays flat against the firewall.

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
following along on this as my '61 wiper motor isn't working either. It has power to it from both the constant and the switch but nothing happens. Hoping to find a less that $200 fix for a simple thing like the wipers.

Does anyone have a pic of their Newport wiper motor after install? Behind the dash.

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
So that must be a 60/61 install? Because mine has a flange/bracket that sticks out from the firewall where the motor attaches to it.

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
I was going to post a pic of my bracket but when I went to the shop the camera battery went bad. To make things worse I cant find the other camera, I can find the battery charger for both of them but the camera... I'm sure I didn't put it in the dryer.
Here it is - If it were a snake it would have bit me:

Re: looking for a wiper motor.
The Newport motor can be ordered to fit any of the 60-66 mounting styles. I happened to order mine thru brothers when they were on sale. Best thing ever for these year trucks. Going from 1 speed to 2 good speeds was great. There is even the option to added intermittent to them later if you are tight for money now.
