Inside bracket below vent window
I'm replacing my vent widow gasketing and discovered that the bracket that joins the inside and outside skin, under the vent window is broken. The break is on the upper inside.
My maintenance guy at work had the wrong welder so he tried to put some JB weld on it, but I scraped it off because I don't think it would hold. Before I go get it welded back up, are there any warnings or recommendations.

I would clean it up to bright shiny metal and weld a new piece over the top of it.... LockDoc
