NP205 Rear Output Shaft Seal
Hey guys, I'm replacing the rear output shaft seal on my NP205. I can't get the old one out. I've been trying to pry it out with a screw driver and it's not really budging, just bending the metal. I was winding if anyone had any tips or tricks on how to get it out without a seal puller. Worst case scenario I can pull the whole cover off, but I'm trying to avoid that option since I don't have a gasket for it and I don't have much time to work on the truck so I'm trying to get it done now lol.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Re: NP205 Rear Output Shaft Seal
I ended up just taking the housing off and pressed the seal out and the new one in. And ordered a new gasket from Off-road Design. The old seal was really in there!

Re: NP205 Rear Output Shaft Seal
Go to Home Depot and get one of those paint can lid openers that have the hook on the end. These work great for pulling seals.

Re: NP205 Rear Output Shaft Seal
I actually have one of those in my paint supplies. I never even thought of that. Thanks!
