98 RWD 5.7L Suburban AC ISSUE HELP
Started off AC compressor just quit engaging going down the road and now won’t blow cold of course.
In testing the situation I jumped the compressor switch connector on the back of the compressor to the battery. Worked great - compressor clutch charted spinning. But then..... my AC controller on the dash took a dump. Now I have no lights on either the recirc button or AC button and I can’t control we’re the air goes to. I made a bad situation worse. AC relay is brand new. AC Fuses in door panel and under hood are fine. Did I blow the controller? Is there a fuse somewhere else that works the AC controller? I obviously need some serious help guys I am anxiously watching my email for responses. Hot as hell in Texas! |

Re: 98 RWD 5.7L Suburban AC ISSUE HELP
It might work better if you posted it in the section for the later trucks.
Most of us in this section that have air have aftermarket air.

Re: 98 RWD 5.7L Suburban AC ISSUE HELP
I looked at your thread topic and saw 98, HUH 1998? That's not an old truck, and then it hit me, I bought a very old truck, a 1948 Chevy pickup when it was only 4 years older than your 98!
