Re: Cab corners

Like I said in my thread I cut rust out of driver corner. When our little showers stop and our chances of rain are gone I'll go back to welding. Nothing looked wet anymore but I'm not taking any chances I was just told it would be bad.

Inner was in worse shape, once I cut out the rustbi started cleaning it up just to break through so I cut up a little higher and cleaned it up to make sure it was solid. The old corner is now off... someone sure went through a lot of trouble, should have just bought a new corner.

Is that brass I see where the old patch was installed? If so that's very likely an old repair. Maybe it was done before replacement corners were easily available?
