Correct placement of Bumper Guards
I surfed through 54 pages of "Let's see those slant noses" and the truck with guards are 50-50 for placement location.
Which one is correct? Pics borrowed from that thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1534045260

Re: Correct placement of Bumper Guards
According to installation instructions the first picture is correct for the 67-70 style. That is where the dealer would have installed them if dealer installed. I don't like them there and always put them in the 'wrong' place at the frame end where bumper bolts. Looks best and makes most sense to me.

Re: Correct placement of Bumper Guards
I agree, first picture is the correct way, but I think it blocks away from the view of the turn signals and beauty of the 67-8 grill. I don't have them on my 67 yet, but have them on my 70 Blazer and mounted using the bolt holes and will mount this way also on the 67.

Re: Correct placement of Bumper Guards
I always thought on 67-70 they were supposed to be centered with the turn signals. At least on the chevys.
However, it does look good on that blazer!

Re: Correct placement of Bumper Guards
I'm with special K on the placement although it maybe wrong I personally think it looks cleaner and proportional to have them on the frame ends.
