That is a pretty solid looking unit for that age. Those were known as 'chassis mount" back then. That would be a fun one and the price isn't out of line either unless it isn't in as good of shape as it looks to be.
There was a 67/72 Chevy chassis mount sitting in a yard about 11 miles up the road from me for over 30 years without moving that disappeared a couple of months ago. Same place had a 67 GTO sitting a hundred feet from it for years. I guess the guys uncle finally fixed that one or someone finally made a cash offer they couldn't turn down. That 56 would be fun to tow my roadster with.
