Info request - 60-66 c10 with 4/6 drops
Question: Will 15x10 rims with 255/60/15 tires work on our 60-66 trucks with a 4/6 drop?
I tried searching multiple threads here but did not find anything specific to 60-66 year trucks only 73-87. I picked up a set of Wheel Vintiques 15x10 Rally's without tires for cheap. Did not have time to verify fitment because it was a great deal being these rims usually run $100-$120 each so I snagged them before someone else bought them. My truck is in pieces so I cannot verify for myself which is why I am asking here before I go out and buy tires. Anyone running 15x10's with a 4/6 drop? Thanks guys |

Re: Info request - 60-66 c10 with 4/6 drops
Are these just for the back or all around? If all around nope wont go. Now what's the back spacing? What truck, fleet or step side? Now how big a tire and do you plan to stretch the tubs? I have about 6" of drop in the rear of my 66 with 15X8 wheel vintiques 12 series with 4 inches of back spacing and 265 tires and the rub on the inside at times. The tire has a wide section width. Look into the tool made by Percy's for fitting wheels.

Sorry for not including important info in my original post. 65 Short bed Fleetside Original rear axle Rims are 15x10 with 4 inches of back spacing Tires are not purhased yet as I need to know if the rims this wide out will rub or more than likely the bed fenders will sit right on top of the tires which is a "NO-GO" Thanks Again |

I found that link on the 60-66 section about 10 posts down from yours. It is all about 60-66 and the wheel/tire width that will fit out trucks. Might not say 4/6 drop but what I saw were dropped at least that. Good luck my friend!

I fit a 15x12 @ 8.5BS w/ 325/50/15 on roughly a 4/6-ish drop. Stepside, modded frame but had the same setup on stock rear frame (notched)

@Clyde65
Wasn’t trying to be a smart ass brother. I apologize for it looking that way. I appreciate you trying to help. I read the thread and I didn’t find anything specific to lowered trucks. Posted via Mobile Device |
