Fuel pump question
I am doing a 2001 Suburban drive train 5.3/4L60E/ 10 bolt 8.6 narrowed into a 1977 chevy Luv . I am having an aluminum fuel tank built to bolt into the factory location . I bought an aluminum fuel pump ring to have added to the top of the cell . May question is can the factory fuel pump be shortened to work with the new fuel cell ? I am installing all the drive train components as is and stock .

Re: Fuel pump question
They're spring loaded and will collapse to a given height, but when it stops, if you cut things and go further, you'll start linking the lines. Truck senders are pretty tall, but Tahoe ones are much shorter, may look into one of them.

Re: Fuel pump question
I was trying to keep everything but the harness as stock as possible. This is my first swap and will be leading up to a high end LS swap on my 49
