1948 Window frame

The 48 window glass has a metal frame that goes around it. There are bolts, one in each end where the run that goes around the glass bolts to the bottom piece that is then screwed to the lift mechanism.

I am looking for those 2 small flush bolts, but 1) what to call those two little bolts (I call them "barrel" bolts, but I just don't know) and 2) where can you get them?

Thanks

Re: 1948 Window frame

Search for barrel nut or sex bolts.
MSC has a selection and probably others.

Re: 1948 Window frame

They are VERY unique bolts, get the right ones from a truck parts supply place. I think I got mine from the "Filling station" truck parts.

Thanks! I know they are unique and have been looking, but I haven't tried them.

Re: 1948 Window frame

And the Filling station as well as LMC have been very good to me.

These https://www.fillingstation.com/detai..._FASTENER.html from the Filling Station say 1947 to 1950. Are the same ones for a 1953 Chevy different? When I put in 1953 Chevy Truck, the Filling Station comes up with these ones?

Thanks.

Re: 1948 Window frame

I don't know. My windows and frames are from a 48.

I didn't think the 53's had the metal frame around the window.
