Question What to get?

Ive got about $500-750 cdn to spend on my truck, what should I spend it on?
I really wanna do body work but thats going to have to wait a few years till im done school. Im thinking about getting stuff that could evenutaly be transfered over to a 350.

Im thinking maybe headers, mufflers and intake...

How much power increase would i exspect to see on my 305, or is it even worth the time/money? If it is which kind should I get?

Things to consider:
1.Looking for better performance without sacrificing too much milage
2.Need better gas milage... LOL
3.I must be able to do it myself in my garage without taking the engine out.

my vote would be for a exhaust upgrade. just a high flow cat and muffler. that would help out with gas too. with the money left over, get your carb tuned up

No emmissions to worry about here, so screw the cats...

Do a carb tuneup / get a new carb, and get a full dual exhaust setup with headers, and spend some of the other money on sealing your current rust, if you wait a couple years, it'll be looking like my truck...

Yeah ive got glass packs that i wanna quite up a bit, they are only 12" long so im thinking ill just get some longer ones. No emmisions so I dont need to worry about that. The engine runs fine so I dont need a carb, it was rebuild not to long ago.

The rust that need work is the rear bed sides. I just plan on replacing them and re-painting the entire truck. I guess next time im down south ill get a quote from my body man and see how much he wants.
