Rear Lowering Questions on 62 C10
Hi All,
I have been trying to find an old thread on this but no luck as yet. I recently installed 3” rear drop coils on my 62 stepside. The rear passenger side feels rock hard with no give, the rear driver side is not much better. My first thought is that the shock absorber is either bottoming out or the angle of the shock is too great for it to function properly. I re-used the existing shocks as I understood that I would only need shorter shocks if I went 4” or lower. Would it be the shocks or something else? I was looking at a shock relocation kit, although I can’t find one for a 62 only for 63-72 models. Would I need those or drop shocks or both? What about an adjustable rear trac bar? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. |

How old are the shocks?

I'm not sure, I have only had the truck 10 months, but they felt fine before I lowered it.
