Wiring Help please
I have a truck that was apart when I got it. Trying to sort the wiring. I have a harness that has 3 wires , one a solid brown, one a solid blue and one a brown wire with a white stripe. Any info?

Re: Wiring Help please
Looks like it could be harness for a turbo 400 but I’m 99 percent the truck was born with a three on the tree so I’m not sure

Re: Wiring Help please
Possibly a TCS harness.
Transmission Controlled Spark: only allowed vacuum to the dist after the trans shifted into 3rd gear. Should be accompanied by a pressure switch at the trans, couple vac lines and a solenoid that bolted on the right hand side of the carb that the vac lines hooked to |

Re: Wiring Help please
Definitely the TSC. Mine wasn’t hooked up and had the ends cut up by the intake. I stripped it all out including the relays.

Re: Wiring Help please
I also had one in my truck, I was worried because one pin broke off the TCS, but it turns out it wasn't needed, so I just removed the thing (The silver and black box in your second picture). I still need to trace and remove the rest of the associated wires.

Re: Wiring Help please
It’s pretty easy trace, one on the transmission, one on the intake, the sensor in passenger side head and then up to the relays by the master cylinder. Took about 5 minutes to take it all out. Just be careful, that sensor in the head is a coolant sensor in the water jacket. Drain the system first or you’ll have a wet mess. Good time to flush the system and refill it.

Re: Wiring Help please
Yes, that's the TCS wiring. It was just a short lived early form of emissions control that really didn't do much. Get rid of it, you dont need it. Put it up for sale in the classified section. I have seen a few people looking for one for their restoration.
