Are the fronts 5-on-5" truck wheels? I ask because some cheapie aftermarket disc brake conversion kits use passenger car rotors with 5-on-4.75" lug pattern.

When I converted my 69 C10's rears to 5-on-5", I simply had a race car machine shop re-drill the stock axle flanges and install new studs. They also turned down the diameter of the wheel locators a little (around .050"?) to allow 73-up wheels to be used. That was done in the mid-1990s, and haven't had any issues.

FYI, 71-72 axles are longer than 69 axles, so they won't work in your housing.
