Redoing rear drums
Never seen brakes in this condition before. Have a quick question in regards to the wheel cylinders. Had to cut off the heads off both bolts, the one closest to the front was a flat head bolt and the other was a 7/16 hex head. Is it possible that they were the original ones??? Goes without saying that they were froze and looked like they were almost 50 years old. 1972 GMC.

Re: Redoing rear drums
I believe mine were a 5/16 bolt with a 7/16 head kind of a odd duck. When I replaced my cylinders I rounded one off and temporarily used a allen head cap bolt. A standard 5/16 bolt has a 1/2" head and was too big it would hit the bleeder.
