Thought I'd say hi
I just found this board, and I was looking for a this very one!!!! I'm in the process of buying a 1962 4wd Suburban. I *should* pick it up this weekend, and if I do, I will post some pics of it. It ain't very pretty, but seems to run pretty good. It needs body work as 99.9% of trucks here in the northeast do. I found alot of parts that I need, but does anybody have a good place or better than most place to get stuff from? Right now I just need patch panels, and would like to find some more info on 'burbans. I don't see alot of them around anywhere.

I got it home last nite, er at least work parking lot for now. Can't bring it home yet, parents will have f%#% heart attack if they know I got this thing!!! This makes 4 vehicles that I have, 3 of which are at the house now. I have to take the axles back to the PO, along with the tires/wheels. Not a big deal, the pinion bearings are smoked in the rear, makes all kinds of funky noises when you coast. I'm building this for a head hauler/tow vehicle, so I'm putting in D44HD in the front and a D60 rear. Went to the junkyard yesterday and found a floor shift column, and 400 with a standard trans, and at a yard my buddy owns a 465/205 that I can get cheap. The 400 won't be for awhile, since I need to get it for one, two need to sell my other truck, and the 283 thats in the burban now runs really good. So when I get the 400 built, anybody want to buy a 283??
