Same issue here. Bought replacement pins and brass bushings from LMC, new bushings are sloppy on the replacement pin and factory pin. Rebuilt one of the hinges and I can physically wiggle the bushing on the new or old pin. The worn out (but not cracked) plastic bushings are tighter then the new replacements. Has anybody found brass bushings that actually fit or plastic ones? My thinking, any play in the hinge, no matter how small, is going to be exaggerated by the time it gets to the latch, which is not good when trying to gap doors.

Has anyone bought the replacement hinges and if so, how are they? Do they have plastic bushings?

You're probably right. I used something similar on my '51 to add bushings ( they don't normally have bushing on those years) and they work great.
