Mystery Part ID ?
Can some one help put a name to these parts? Digging thru parts boxes I've had for many a year and found these two "clamps" or "brackets" in a box of park brake parts. Just don't recall exact name of them or their placement on a truck. Any info is a help for sure.

Re: Mystery Part ID ?
E-brake cable retainers. Probably have a part number on em too, at least mine do (3894297). They fasten onto the rear wall of the transmission cross member on my SWB. I think the same on my C20.

Re: Mystery Part ID ?
What they said.
T-400 transmission application used them bolted to the transmission crossmember with the intermediate parking brake cable running through it. Might be used for other applications too but I know that one for sure. Picture is from a 90,000 mile original parked since 1979. Doubt any of that parking brake setup has been touched since it left the assembly line.

Re: Mystery Part ID ?
Thanks for all the replies, pics and the info. Has me wondering exactly where the retainers came from. Pretty sure they are from the first truck I parted out years ago but it had no engine or transmission when I acquired it. Also had no glove box lid with the SIPD info so don't have any idea what original equipment it came with. Pretty nasty as is but will clean them up and see if I can find any part numbers on them. Thanks again.
