Barn door latches
Does anyone know of a replacement / alternate part for the striker for the left hand barn door of a 1990 suburban? I only need that one striker and can't find anyone parting a burb willing to sell such a small item . I suppose I could get one welded up but was trying to avoid that route. Thanks

Re: Barn door latches
pretty sure the vans use the exact same ones. should be easy to find at the junkyard.

Re: Barn door latches
Anyone confirm this yet? I'm needing some too and I'm guessing the van would have to be a similar vintage?

No, just got it so I'm just making a list and info searching. Hadn't thought about the dealer, but I'll give them a try

Re: Barn door latches
I just looked thru my stuff, and confirmed the van one is identical. I have a van and a sub here to compare.

Re: Barn door latches
I was in an older junkyard today and confirmed the Chevy vans have an identical latch loop.older 70s are a little different but look like they may also work . Thanks for the tip.

Re: Barn door latches
the actual bottom latch in the doors are the same also between the van and sub rear doors.
