Those with bagged trucks
For those that are running an air bag system. Do you all have your solenoids/wiring etc. covered so they are protected from the elements? I’m thinking of building an enclosure for my solenoid distribution block out of plexiglass to protect it. Any thoughts of this being a bad idea? I plan to drill holes to make it breath. Thanks

Re: Those with bagged trucks
youngrodder is right, the only thing you should worry about is having the compressor intake shielded. the valves, wet or dry will work, although if you dont run an air drier on the OUTPUT of your tank (not the input from the compressor, the line that feeds the valves) and if you dont have a tank drain, you will get water in your valves and in some kind of cruel irony when its below freezing outside your valves will stick OPEN, which is a fun way to spend a cold morning. for that reason I like putting the valves in the cab and warming the truck up before driving. Lately I switched back to manual valves, because they are just so reliable, and you can vary the speed by hand, which is hard to do with electric valves unless your controller has PWM.

Re: Those with bagged trucks
on my 57 I put two 3 gal tanks each side between the cab and frame , two compressors each side between the bed steps and frame. I went with the Airlift 3H i installed that in the cab behind the seat just to protect it from the elements ( but would probably be fine if under the bed). I did the exhaust tube down through the cab to the outside.
