Why do people blur out plates when posting pics?

The thought is somebody could track you down by having a friend in law enforcement run the plates or by paying a fee online and running the plates, and next thing that happens is they go knock on your door asking if your truck is for sale. Oh my...

Because they believe everything they read on the net. All the BS about tracking you doesn't have a thing to do with a friend in the police. Its all BS.
