Seat Riser Questions
Does anyone have a good measurement on the seat riser? I need side-to-side at the front, and the rear. Also, is the riser centered or off to one side?
Thanks! |

Re: Seat Riser Questions
How much clearance is there between the adjustment handle (on the driver's side) and the door. Mine seems to hang out over the rocker for some reason....

Re: Seat Riser Questions
I think the one in my 51 cab (parts donor) still has the adjustment handle in it. Too dark now but if my brain remembers it tomorrow I'll get you some measurements and photos.

Re: Seat Riser Questions
Mine sticks out past the rocker 3/4"...and it's about a inch away from the door panel

Re: Seat Riser Questions
Here are some shots that I took a few minutes ago. I didn't realize that they had beat spot that the seat track bolted to up that much until I went out to take the photos. Probably from pounding their shoulder against the door to open it as the window molding is smashed pretty bad on the drivers side. That rather than lubing or repairing what made it stick.

Re: Seat Riser Questions
EXCELLENT! Thanks, and nice shot of what the land looks like around there....
About the only measurement I need now is from the back of the track to the top of the rib (stiffener) that goes across the cab (the back of the riser), basically - where the two holes for the track are... |

Re: Seat Riser Questions
The back of the slide track is about 1/4 inch above the level of the cross brace so the seat frame can clear the cross brace.
The one without the tracks is back in the shed behind some stuff that makes it hard to reach to accurately measure.

Re: Seat Riser Questions
A lot of the time the wire going across to the track on the other side to pull the release is broken or gone and you can only wiggle the driver's side but not move the seat.
