Eastwood makes a special grinder for there wheels that is amazing. Pricey but works great.

If you want there is soda blasting, and some guys do it as a side buisness on the weekends. Plus they will come to you. It gets cheaper if you clean the mess up.
I have the Eastwood stripper. The problem is pushing down on the roof. May reinforce it with some wood See what happens. Best luck I have ad is a wire cone on 90 degree grinder
