Where to install the rubber washer in brake master cylinder?
I'm installing a rebuild kit in the master cylinder for the brakes in my 61 GMC but not sure where the rubber washer goes. When I took the old parts out there was no rubber washer. Anyone know? Thanks

I googled a bit and found this one for a Ford single pot master.

It goes under the residual pressure valve to seal it against the bore. You don't need one in the clutch half, if yours is manual.
Full rebuild of the brakes on my '61, queued up right where you need this information: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0neI...youtu.be&t=661
