I know this thread is a year old, but I'll bump it anyway since some people may be looking for more answers/experiences. I have double adjustable rear coilovers that originally came w/ 175# springs. WAY too light. Ran it for about a year. They would compress so easily that I was even rubbing the driveshaft on big bumps! Swapped in 225# springs and it's been perfect. The ride is not harsh at all. Tank is mounted in the rear, original frame.
