Lower radiator hose
I am swapping an 01 5.3 into my 67. I have a jegs radiator that I plan on using but am trying to figure out a lower radiator hose that will work for me. The old lower radiator hose is 1 3/4" I.d. and the 5.3 lower hose is roughly 1 1/2-1 5/8 I.d. I'm hoping someone can help with a part # for a hose that works because every parts store employee around me is stuck on stupid...no part # they dont know how to help

Re: Lower radiator hose
Star. Not sure if that will help you but I kept it in my photo archive for a reason and I think it was for the difference size on both ends. I used an adapter by Jags that run for my lower hose.

Re: Lower radiator hose
I was looking at adapters but just wasn't sure which one to order, figured one solid hose would be better anyways. AutoZone has that hose in stock so I am going to go measure it in the morning.(cant expect the employee to be able to measure it correctly) Star is just down the street, we should meet up some time after I get this swap done!

Re: Lower radiator hose
Yep one solid hose is better. I used the adapter before I found that pic. Yep we can meet as long as you don’t mind a Idaho transplant. Some locals hate transplants.

Hey man I moved here in 2005 from Maryland. I don't care where you are from lol. Besides, you aren't in a Ford group 😂

10-4 but am a car enthusiasts so I like all breads but lean more towards the bow tie. Once built a 64 f100 custom s/b. It was pretty special as the new owners took the original widow wife for a ride and sent me a pic.

Re: Lower radiator hose
That pic is of my truck, and I used the original radiator, so if your aftermarket radiator has the same size neck on the bottom it should work.

Re: Lower radiator hose
I was just looking for some the other day. O'Reilly's has a selection of them: https://www.oreillyauto.com/shop/b/b...0=1-1%2F2+Inch

Re: Lower radiator hose
I used the one that came on the Silverado. It's a little tough, but you can get the hose over the original 67-72 radiator fitting if you try.
