how to bend the sun visor brackets

Does anyone have a good way to bend the sun visor brackets without breaking them???? I have a 56 with new aftermarket brackets and one didn't survive

You can bend an original . I would not try anything with any repo .

Don't try to bend them while mounted in the vehicle or you are certain to snap off the mounting ears. Bend only the rod; don't exert pressure on the mounting bracket. Don't ask me how I know...
