54 dash brace?
I have the dash brace for the 48, it looks like this
IMG_0470 by Robert Moorman, on Flickr I don't have one for the 54, and so I tried to get this one to fit, but it doesn't. Did the 54's have a different dash to firewall brace?

Re: 54 dash brace?
Somebody asked that once before...if my rememberer is working I think it's got brace rods instead of the bracket you show..

Re: 54 dash brace?
Ok...I managed to get some pics thru the gauge holes..the rods I remembered were for the steering column support,,,right next to it is a brace similar to the one In your pic....but it is different
And the cowl vent lever is attached to it

Re: 54 dash brace?
Thanks Greg. I think I cut one of those up to make a new rear fender support for the 48! I'll try to run some down. Really appreciate it.

Re: 54 dash brace?
the brace rods are the right answer, the one next to it is the cowl vent mount, all ads had that.

Re: 54 dash brace?
Thanks Joe.
As it turns out, not only did I pull them from the cab, I labeled them and set them aside, only to forget where I put them. Last night I found them and put them in and now know which two holes I need in the firewall.
