1966 Automatic Column - Finished Product
Pictures of my 66 automatic column after assembly, still need to find a nice shift lever as the ones I have are rusty.
If I can find a horn I want to use my 65 custom wheel, instead of the 66 custom wheel I have. Last edited by Johns66; 12-31-2016 at 04:19 PM. Reason: Add to narrative |

Nicely done! I have a couple Auto's I'd like to rebuild like that.

Re: 1966 Automatic Column - Finished Product
Thanks guys, I posted some pictures of the top pieces coming apart and have more of the entire disassembly if anyone wants them.
If you rebuild one do yourself a favor and buy the Napa D6202, American Autowire or the more expensive Classic Truck parts turn signal assembly. (I believe they have two listed) |

Nice job looks good. How rusty is your shift lever? I've had some pretty good success using fine steel wool and WD-40. Might get you by till you find a replacement.

Any chance you have pictures of what holds the steering rod centered? Mine is has alot of play up, down, right and left and im wondering if theres a bearing inside that went bad.
