I believe you when you say that you do not work for the DOT Rob, however given the quality of work that you do, you probably should!
There is another vague and annoying lighting law here in South Carolina that I would also have to figure out how to get around. It is called "changing the design of lights". It does not go into any real specifics and in my opinion is very ridiculously vague.

Probably just a poorly written law meant to address a broken lens. I'd think since L.E.D.s are allowed on newer vehicles that older vehicles could run them. That's why people are getting them for their older vehicles, so all the knuckleheads who are used to such bright lights will notice ours. In the opposite direction, I've been pulled over in 6v vehicles with tiny (factory) tail lamps for not being bright enough. I asked the officer what the required minimum candlepower was and he couldn't say. I wonder if there is even a maximum rating established to enforce the bright light law

Just so everyone is aware...in order to install these you will need to drill out the rivets that hold the lense on. They are designed so that you remove the lense and gasket. The tabs go against the face of the housing and correspond with the two holes. At this point you have two options.
1 pop rivit the panel in place, re install gaskets and lenses.
2. Place tabs against housing re install gaskets on top, te install lense. Install small screws through lens,gasket, led,housing and secure.

Just curious 🤔🤔🤔 who thinks i should stagger the leds on my tails for a more disbursed look? I had never thought about it until i made the fronts 🧐

I like the staggered look better. If you do a set like that post a picture. I'd like to see how they look staggered

You can't pop rivet the panel in place whare you have the taps is how the light mounts to the grill.
There whare never and rivet thare the holes are threaded for the screws that mount the light.

I just got mine installed and working. Hard to find a gmc plug. I have clear lenses will take some picks for ya.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
