Trans question

I have a 67 C10 longbed that I swapped a 5.3 and 4l60e into. The trans needs rebuilt and I found one with no issues locally. My question is that it is out of a 98 and my motor/trans came out of an 01 suburban...will I run into any issues or will it work?

I agree with double checking, but you should be good. I believe the electronics stayed the same. There are a few minor differences with regards to the valvebody plates, but I don't believe that will effect you.

While you should be good, I would prefer to repair the original transmission and re-install it.

Between 98 to 01 there were some internal strength upgrades and also, installing a used trans is always a risk.

The original trans may well be a 4L65E with upgraded internals as it originated from a Suburban,,,,,

I have verified the original is a 4l60e...it does have a remanufactured tag on it already. And I agree with not wanting to risk condition of a used trans but I have been quoted $2700 for a rebuild and just financially that isn't an option for me any time soon. The trans I was looking at is still in the truck and I could drive and test it before pulling

$2700 is uo there with custom trans build prices...check out Monster Transmissions...https://www.monstertransmission.com/...05_c_3941.html

They list rebuilt trans units from $899 ...

You can get a rebuilt 4L60 from LSX4U for a lot cheaper than $2700. I have a 4L80 from them and no issues so far (only a few short test drives). You could opt for the improved 4L65 or their 4L65-HD (not listed on their website, but available).
