Great acquisition!

IMHO, unsupervised mechanical work may leave you disappointed. Better to have it close by to ensure your efforts and dollars are used wisely. I say transport it! If you're a member of an auto club, they may have a referral service, maybe even a discount.

Very daunting road trip idea. Amazing potential, but a **** load of work to be done. Can you just fly out and work on it your self? You can sleep in the back. 2 days to get it up to snuff, 3-4 to head home.
